By Reason of Darkness (WP)
Dates
Description Phillip Cooke s By Reason of Darkness is a setting of sections of Job, verse 37. The work is scored for a community choir split into three around a central conductor and bells. The work is highly influenced by the Gaelic psalm singing found in the in the Western Isles, where multiple, heterophonic lines weave around each other. Between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, come and enjoy a bit of stargazing, weatherpermitting (or an inside tour of the night sky if not!). Presented by Aberdeen Astronomical Society at Kings College Quad.
