Associate Professorship in Composition, in association with a Tutorial Fellowship at Worcester College Faculty of Music, St Aldate’s Oxford, in conjunction with Worcester College, Walton Street, Oxford

The University, in association with Worcester College, proposes to appoint an Associate Professor or Professor of Composition with effect from 1 October 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The person appointed will be required to provide not fewer than 36 hours of lectures (or equivalent teaching) per year for the Faculty of Music and to undertake examining and graduate supervision.

Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in any aspect of composition, including – but by no means restricted to – jazz, popular, folk and traditional, and electronic genres, as well as sound art. The successful candidate will have the potential to enhance the high reputation of the Faculty of Music in research and teaching.
