Love Singing - Call for Songwriters
Deadline: 18 Jan 2021
Love Singing provides an opportunity for community choirs to have a song written especially for their choir, and supports the collaborative process between them and their songwriter. It will also provide opportunities for communication and learning between choirs and choir leaders and any guidance and support needed to increase and encourage participation online.
Professional songwriters will be given the opportunity to write a completely new song especially for community singers, and will be supported through the process by Love Music artistic director Stephen Deazley.
The 5 new songs will be crafted with accessibility and inclusion in mind, and will be suitable for all choirs at all singing levels to learn and sing online as well as in person. A full set of learning resources will be professionally recorded for each song and at the end of the project all the resources will be made freely available on the Love Singing website for any choirs to use and sing.
