Charlotte New Music Festival applications are open for the 10th annual Composers Workshop and the Max Computer Music Workshop [Online]! It's free to apply and we invite you to share these workshop opportunities with other composers you know. We look forward to more great concerts, discovering new music, networking, and hosting composers and performers from around the world!

Work with professional ensembles and consult with distinguished guest composers throughout the creation of a new work. The Max Computer Music Workshop (MCMW), led by Charles Nichols and Christopher Dobrian (author of "Max Cookbook"), is an intermediate to advanced one- to two-week immersive workshop, focused on programming and composing computer music in the Max visual programming environment. Participants will learn techniques for programming interactive computer music, culminating in a public recorded performance of works created during the workshop.
Session A: "Max Programming Fundamentals", 2 weekends, (beginner/intermediate) July 16–18, 24–25
Session B: "Computer Music Programming and Composition”, (intermediate-advanced) July 26–31
