Introduction to Electroacoustic Music
- 27 Apr 2022, 2 p.m., MacRobert Building, Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, Book tickets
Description
This workshop is designed for musicians - performers, composers, whatever – who would like to know more about composing electroacoustic music, particularly if it didn’t form a part of their own musical training. It’s not designed for musicians who already have some experience in electroacoustic music.
Pete Stollery, an electroacoustic composers with over 40 years experience of working with technology and sound, will talk about what electroacoustic music is, using examples, including his own work and participants will be able to get their ears dirty with sound by creating their own work, either using their own computers or Macs provided for them.
Participants will complete a short questionnaire prior to the session so that it can be tailored as much as possible to participants’ needs.
