IDEA International Divertimento Ensemble Academy and its artistic director, Sandro Gorli, are pleased to announce the seventh edition of the “Franco Donatoni” International Meeting for Young Composers.

Composers of any nationality, born after 1st January 1986 are eligible to participate in the selection by submitting one composition for an ensemble of 6 to 13 performers, including one voice, within 29th November 2021. An international jury will select within 18 December 2021 three compositions that will be performed by Divertimento Ensemble in April 2022 in Milan within the Rondò concerts season.

The three selected composers will then be asked to write a new composition whose maximum duration must not exceed 15-20 minutes for an ensemble maximum eight instruments, three voices and electronics that will be performed in Milan in April 2023.

Each composer will be entitled to a forfait reimbursement of € 2.500 gross, to cover all expenses incurred.
