Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring French horn
Deadline: 30 Sep 2022
Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for Mary Beth Orr. For this Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, we are looking for French horn and/or voice solos specifically written for Mary Beth Orr. (Works may incorporate both French horn and voice; however, composers should be aware there is only a single performer. No works for duet will be considered.)
Mary Beth Orr is a unique performer who incorporates her French horn performances with her folk singing. She incorporates programs with storytelling and/or programmatic narratives. Both folk and classical music are always inspired by 4 things.... love, death, nature, and God / spirituality. All of our stories are about these things.
Selected works will be premiered on November 12th, 2022 at 2:00 PM U.S. East Coast Time (UTC-4) on Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring Mary Beth Orr.
