Deep Dive Project Coordinator

Cryptic is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious freelance coordinator to join our small team, for the delivery of our pilot artist development project, Deep Dive from July 2022 until April 2023.
Deep Dive is a seven-month programme comprising monthly gatherings between September 2022 and March 2023 to enable young people between the ages of 16-25 to develop their experimental electronic and live music making skills, whilst gaining confidence and enjoying the company of their peers.
OUTLINE:
Delivery of Deep Dive project;
Assist in publishing the Deep Dive Open call with relevant youth organisations;
Assist with the recruitment of participants for Deep Dive;
Maintain schedules and contact lists;
Be the main point of contact for Deep Dive participants, mentors and host venue;
Budget and monitor participants and mentor expenses;
Coordinate logistics for group meetings;
Attend each Deep Dive meeting 3rd Thursday of each month from September 2022 until March 2023;
Assist in sending out information, collecting evaluation and reporting;
Undertake any other duties as agreed are appropriate to the post.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
We are looking for a person who can connect with our Deep Dive participants and understand their experience. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who feel they face barriers, which may include financial, ethnicity, education, social class, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, neurodiversity, a long-term condition/s or have caring responsibilities.
MUST HAVES:
At least 1 years’ relevant experience;
IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook;
Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
Strong organisational skills;
Attention to detail;
Quick and accurate learner;
Be professional, friendly, and welcoming;
Ability to work in a team and be self-motivated;
Enthusiasm and passion for the arts;
Passion for diversity within the arts;
Commitment to equal opportunities and access to the arts for all.
DESIRABLE:
Knowledge of how to foster diversity within the arts;
Confidence and good networking skills;
Experience of working with young people.
